Nursery Fees & Funding
We want our Nursery offer to be clear and straightforward for families. Blackfield Nursery offers government-funded childcare alongside additional paid sessions, subject to availability and eligibility.
If you are unsure which funding your child may be entitled to, our Nursery team will be happy to help you understand the options available.
Funded Childcare
3 and 4-year-olds
All children are entitled to 15 hours of funded early education each week, from the term after their third birthday.
Eligible working families may be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare each week.
2-year-olds
Eligible working families may receive 30 hours of funded childcare each week from the term after their child meets the age and eligibility requirements.
Some 2-year-olds may also qualify for funded early education through the separate entitlement for families receiving additional support.

Our Nursery Sessions

Funded hours can be used within our available Nursery sessions, subject to availability and our admissions arrangements. Families can also purchase additional sessions where spaces are available.
Nursery Fees
Our current Nursery fees are shown below. These fees are based on our current fee structure and will be reviewed during the Autumn Term 2026. Any updated fees will be published on this page following the review.
Fees are payable for any Nursery hours that are not covered by your child's funded childcare entitlement.

Please note: Our Nursery fees will be reviewed during the Autumn Term 2026. Families will be informed of any changes before new fees are introduced.

Meals and Additional Charges
Children staying for a full day will need to bring a packed lunch from home.
Any charges for additional hours or other optional services are separate from government-funded childcare hours. Families are not required to purchase optional extras in order to access their child's funded entitlement.
