Learning Support Assistant

Fixed Term until 31st August 2023

               Grade C - 33.75 hrs per week (term-time), 
Monday - Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm,

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our hardworking team.

We are a friendly, supportive and hard-working team and the successful applicant would be warmly welcomed into our school community and able to access our ongoing staff development.

Personal attributes

The role will involve working in partnership with the class teacher, supporting groups of children in the classroom and delivering planned learning to groups or individuals. In addition, the role may also involve supporting pupils with specific learning and behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis. 

Applicants will be required to: 

  • Have GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
  • Have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Understand confidentiality and show commitment to safeguarding pupils wellbeing and equality
  • Have skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils
  • Show confidence in supporting children in their learning and their play 
  • A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school

Salary & Benefits

The post is Grade C, starting from £19,265 to £20,290 per year FTE.
The role will be for 33.75 hours per week term time only.  The hours will be - Monday - Friday 08.15am - 3.30pm

The term - time salary will be £14,646 - £15,425
