Communication
A key ingredient to your child's success at Blackfield Primary, is great communication between home and school. We have several ways of ensuring effective communication at our school, to meet everyone's needs:
Arbor
Abor is our management information system. This is where we safely store all of your child's key information, contact details, medical records and consents. Through Arbor you can pay for trips, sign up for parents evenings and clubs, and receive all emails from the school. All parents must be signed up to Arbor at Blackfield Primary school.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is our instant messenging platform between home and school. Parents can directly message their child's class teacher, without having to go through the admin office for minor communication about their child. Teachers will reply to Class Dojo messages within 48 hours, Monday-Friday, and should only reply during working hours. Your teacher will also provide regular updates and photos of what is going on in the classroom. We advise all parents to sign up to Class Dojo.
Our admin team are there to answer any of your questions or queries between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. If you're not sure about something, please check with them- they are the fountain of all knowledge when it comes to Blackfield Primary School!
You can call them on: 02380893132
Email: info.bps@ilpartnership.org
Or simply pop in and speak to them face to face.
WhatsApp
You can message our admin team through our school WhatsApp account on 07762781340. This phone is monitored between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
Social Media
Why not follow us on Facebook and Instagram by searching for 'Blackfield Primary School', or on Twitter by searching for '@BlackfieldPrim'. You can keep up to date with the latest events at school and photos.
Paperless
In an effort to reduce our usage of paper and help the environment, we are a paperless school and send all communications through email, via Arbor.
There is usually a member of the Senior Leadership team at the front gate every day, please come and say 'hello'.
